A native of the Sunshine Coast, Matt Golinski is a professional chef with a passion for creating cuisine using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.
Well known as one of the original team members of the popular Ready Steady Cook television series, Matt has worked as executive chef at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants over his 32-year career.
Based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Matt now enjoys working as a consulting chef for restaurants, being a regular guest chef at festivals and events and writing food articles for InNoosa and Hello Sunshine magazines.
Matt lives with his wife and two young daughters on their property in the Noosa hinterland, where his focus has turned to learning about growing the food he loves to cook.
Matt has been a guest chef at the St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend for a number of years.

After a brief hiatus in 2023, Matt Golinski and Glen Barratt have returned to St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend with a menu that is a bona fide love letter to the region.
St Lawrence's delectable seafood crew of crabs, fish, and prawns will make a splash alongside a smorgasbord of regional delights that includes Australia’s finest Wagyu beef by local fifth generation farmers – King River.
But what’s a feast without the perfect quenchers to match?
The six-course lunch will complement craft beer and cider from Goanna Brewery, wine from Hunter Valley’s Saltire Estate, Sarina Sugar Shed’s award-winning rum, and Swift River Distillery’s smooth-finishing spirits.
And because we believe in rolling out the red carpet for our guests, a glass of champagne on arrival followed by your choice of two complimentary drinks.
We’ve also lined up some stellar performances to keep you entertained throughout the luncheon.
