Dig It Isaac is back for a fourth year! We’re asking all of Isaac to get back to nature, in their own backyard or home. The competition is here to encourage residents to get back to basics by starting a new garden, finessing that lawn or completing a project that’s been sitting on the to-do list for a bit too long!

Entrants have from the start of November until the end of November to complete their entry. Entries will be accepted until Thursday, 30 November, 2023 5pm. When your garden is ready to go, upload photos or videos of your project, a brief description about your garden at speakup.isaac.qld.gov.au. Entrants may nominate in up to two categories, but a residence may only be nominated by one entrant.

The Dig It Isaac panel will then judge entries and announce winners on Friday, 8 December.

Best water wise garden - $500 Shop Isaac gift card - sponsored by Isaac Regional Council - Water and Waste Team

For those who are water wise. Native plant gardeners and the ingenious water recyclers will be rewarded in this category - enter for a great prize!

Best lawn - $500 Shop Isaac gift card - sponsored by Isaac Regional Council – Parks and Recreation team

Show the neighbours who’s boss with your lush lawn, keeping in mind we are all about the water wise life!

Best Potted garden - $500 Shop Isaac gift card - sponsored by Isaac Regional Council – Economy and Prosperity team

No space for a garden? No worries! Show us what you can do using only pots and planters, indoors or out.

Best School, Kindy or Daycare Garden - $500 Shop Isaac gift card - sponsored by Isaac Regional Council – Community hubs team 

Get gardening students! Veggies, herbs, pot plants, flowers – as long as the hard-work has been done by the students (not groundskeepers or teachers) we want to see it!
