Kerbside collection

Let's get it right

Kerbside waste general information

Kerbside waste and recycling collections will go ahead as normal on public holidays across the region.

To receive kerbside collections please complete the Mobile Garbage Bin Request form(PDF, 119KB).

Download the Isaac Regional Council Recycling and Bin Collection Days Calendar for your town on the last page.

Residents who have loved ones or family who do not have online access are to please encourage them to visit your nearest Council office or library where a member of staff can assist to print a copy of the relevant Recycling and Bin Collection Calendar for their town.

Bins should always be presented behind the kerbside, at the front of your residence, for collection by 6am. Kerbside collection can occur anytime between 6am and 6pm.

Please be reminded that when putting bins out for collection to place them 1m apart.

Refuse (red lid) is collected weekly and Recycling (yellow lid) is collected every fortnight.

If we’ve missed your bin, please leave it out for collection and call 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227). Council’s friendly staff will arrange for pick up or will advise you if there were any issues. Keep an eye on social media for notification of collection delays which can occur through vehicle breakdowns or similar circumstances.

Bin collection information stickers

Council is encouraging residents across the Isaac region to Lift the Lid on Waste and know what items can go in red or yellow lidded bins to ensure bin collection.

Bin Information stickers are in use which help the Waste Collection Truck drivers notify residents if there was an issue with emptying their bin.

To ensure bins are emptied on the dedicated day in your street, residents are asked to ensure their bin:

  • isn’t too heavy (contents under 75kg)
  • isn’t overfilled (lid must be closed)
  • doesn’t contain non-recyclable waste
  • is an authorised Council bin (contact Council for info)
  • bin placement (please place on kerb, not road/gutter and clear of obsticles)

If the Waste Collection Truck is unable to empty a bin for any of the above reasons, residents will receive a Bin Collection Information sticker, pictured below, on the bin with details included from the driver.

Residents are encouraged to get in touch with Council to arrange another suitable bin collection time once the issue with the bin has been rectified.

For more information on Council’s Waste Management Services, contact Council’s on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
