Greenhill and Ilbilbie
Experience the quiet beauty of the most scenic area of the Isaac Coast. An idyllic location with wonderful views of the ocean and surrounding district. It is one of the best fishing spots on the Central Queensland coast, famous for whiting and flathead. Anglers can enjoy shore, estuary and offshore fishing near local reefs and islands, while bushwalkers can take advantage of the magnificent views and beautiful bushland. Access to Cape Palmerston National Park is by 4WD only via Greenhill Road. Beef, sugar and aquaculture are the main industries in this district with the first cane crops being planted in 1916. The Ilbilbie Community Hall, close to the Bruce Highway, provides a meeting and social area for the district’s residents.
