The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced permanent, full-time Senior Systems Officer to join our Moranbah Information Solutions Department. This role is pivotal in delivering successful IT solutions by partnering with business and technology groups to identify improvements and manage the design and development of business applications.
For this position we offer:

  • Salary $99,922.73 - $108,838.22 per annum (Stream A, Level 6-7) 
  • Nominally 76 hours over a 9-day fortnight  
  • 5 weeks annual leave pro-rata @ 17.5% loading 
  • Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement 
  • RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technology personnel to elicit process improvements and translate requirements into project and technical specifications. 
  • Analyse, document, and test software logic, process flows, and specifications. 
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Provide best practice technical expertise and advice on key issues related to corporate systems and projects.
  • Offer day-to-day user support for business systems.
  • Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems. 

Key Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of the solutions development life cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly. 
  • Ability to manage competing projects and prioritise resource allocation. 
  • Flexibility around project change management and risk mitigation. 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT and/or Accounting or related field. 
  • Extensive experience with MS Office tools. 
  • Experience with Technology One ERP system is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing/developing at least two modules (Property and Rating, ECM, CRM, Regulatory Applications). 
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in a similar role. 
  • Current C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence.
