An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Truck Operator to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate based in St Lawrence. Located approximately 155km south of Mackay, St Lawrence prides itself in its rich history, abundance of recreational activities and coastal lifestyle. Most known for its award-winning Wetlands Weekend annual event, variety of local wildlife, beautiful camping grounds and sporting precincts the town has to offer, St Lawrence is a great place for people from all walks of life to settle down.
  
The Truck Operator position provides assistance with the coordination, integration and delivery of
services and the construction, maintenance and operational delivery of programs relating to roads,
building and drainage.
  
The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics and general maintenance
  • The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Construction Induction Blue/White Card
  • A ‘HC’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
  • Traffic Controller ticket (advantageous)
  
For this position we offer:
  • Salary $63,707.94 - $66,300.67 per annum + allowances
  • Nominally 76 hours per fortnight
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
  • Up to 13% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
  • RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
