Isaac Regional Council is seeking a motivated and community-minded individual to join our Planning, Environment & Community Services Directorate as a Cadet Community Compliance Officer in Moranbah. This full-time, two-year cadetship offers hands-on experience in local law enforcement, animal management, and community compliance, setting you up for a rewarding career in government investigations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting Community Compliance Officers with animal handling and regulatory enforcement.
  • Patrolling various locations across the region (with overnight accommodation provided by Council), giving you the chance to explore the stunning Isaac Region—from the Coast to the Outback!
  • Learning on the job while completing a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Government Investigations through a registered training provider.
  • Engaging with the community and ensuring compliance with Local Laws and State Legislation.
  • Playing a key role in public safety, environmental protection, and responsible pet ownership initiatives.

For this position we offer:
  • Competitive Salary: Base salary between $72,508.28 - $ 79,607.52 per annum (Stream A, Level 2 - 3)
  • Fixed Term – 2-Year Contract based in Moranbah
  • Work-Life Balance: Full-time (72.5 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday) with Rostered Days Off (RDOs)

About You:
We are seeking an enthusiastic person who possesses:
  • Minimum completion of at least Year 10 school certificate;
  • A current C Class Australian Drivers Licence;
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment;
  • Ability to complete a Certificate IV in Government Investigations
  • Strong customer and community-focused ethos;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong face-to-face engagement capacity;
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • A wiliness to grow and learn.
