As a valued member of the Contracts and Procurement Team, this position supports the creation, management, and administration of contracts and related documentation while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining contract data across systems like IRIS and Tech One, processing requisitions and purchase orders, and fostering clear communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves performing general administrative tasks and contributing to the seamless operation of procurement processes, making it an essential part of the team’s success.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Professional and courteous interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of stakeholders in providing procurement administrative assistance to enable achievement of desired outcomes;
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and manage to complete competing priorities efficiently and effectively within set deadlines;
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in contract administration or procurement (preferred);
  • Experience in Queensland Local Government Procurement (preferred);
  • Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products;
  • Experience with systems, processes and techniques;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management (desirable);
  • Certificate in Contracting Fundamentals (desirable);
  • Demonstrated experience (3+) years within an administrative and customer service environment;
  • Possession of a current C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence.


If you are successful in this position, we will give you:

  • Salary $42.23 – $46.01 per hour (Stream A, Level 3-4)
  • Permanent part-time (Monday - Friday, 9.00am to 2.30pm)
  • 50 hours per fortnight
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
  • Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
