Contracts and Procurement Support Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Contracts and Procurement Support Officer to join our Corporate, Governance and Financial Services (CGFS) directorate based in Moranbah.
  
Working as a member of the Contracts and Procurement Team, this position provides direct support to the Strategic Sourcing Officer and the Procurement Team in the creation, management and administration of contracts and related documentation.  It involves the establishment and maintenance of contract data on IRIS, Tech One and related information management systems. It also involves requisitioning and purchase order processing, communicating with suppliers and internal customers and general administration.
  
To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Knowledge of contracts and tendering processes and documentation;
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, including the ability to collaborate and be a team player;
  • High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience working in a Local Government environment within contracts and procurement (highly regarded);
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or extensive experience and knowledge of business management (desirable).

If you are successful in this position, we will give you:

  • Full time 72.5 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday; (Part time hours can be negotiable for the preferred candidate)
  • Competitive Salary ranging from $79,607.52 - $86,736.17 per annum (Level3-4) full time; pro rata if suitable for part-time
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% loading15 Days’ personal leave pro-rata per annum
  • Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
  • RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement for full time employees
