The Community Facilities Department is responsible for leading and delivering the creation of value from the community facilities Council directly operates itself, those it leases to commercial operators and those it makes available to community organisation by way of leases or other tenures, across the Isaac Region. One of its purposes is to drive the best long-term Tenure strategy to effectively oversee all tenures across all departments within Isaac Regional Council. The strategy includes managing the integrity of all tenure arrangements, providing leadership across all aspects of the tenures function, whilst practicing effective and positive communication with all stakeholders.
The Departmental Administration Officer – Community Facilities position provides high level administrative, project management and business support to the Manager Community Facilities, Manager Council Operated Community Facilities and the Department as a whole.
For this position we offer:
- $86,736.17 - $93,628.40 per annum (Stream A, Level 4 - 5)
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday
- RDO (Rostered Days Off) in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

About You:
We are seeking an enthusiastic person who possesses:
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of high level administrative, process, project and governance support;
- Demonstrated knowledge of administrative processes (Microsoft applications), including letter preparation, preparation of documents, meeting minutes, compiling memos, email management, photocopying, general financial processes and spread sheeting.
- Demonstrate core values at all times and a high level of integrity and ethics;
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
- High level administrative, process, project and governance knowledge
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines;
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and develop processes and procedures that support business improvement.
