Frontline Service Officer - Middlemount

An exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term Frontline Service Officer to join Isaac Regional Council's Planning, Environment & Community Services Directorate based in Middlemount. Reporting to the Community Hub Area Leader – South & West, this position is responsible for providing effective and courteous delivery of library and customer focused functions to the Isaac Region communities.

The successful applicant will be primarily located in Middlemount but will be subject to travel throughout the Region and may include overnight stays in Council accommodation. We are looking for a person who is passionate about providing exemplary customer experience and delivering Library programs. Duties will include (but not limited to):

Library

  • Develop, lead and deliver lifelong learning programs and activities
  • Undertake library resource loans, reference queries using library management system
  • Contribute to the daily operations of a library

Customer Service

  • Managing incoming calls and customer service inquiries
  • Identifying and fulfilling customer needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Handling complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives
  • Accurate Receipting and Cash handling

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-level customer service and/or library services
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering lifelong learning programs/events
  • High level experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in using technology
  • Ability to work as a team and autonomously
  • Blue Card from the Commission for Children, Young People and Child Guardian, or ability to obtain prior to commencement

For these positions we offer:

  • Salary $38.47 - $42.23 per hour (Stream A, Level 2 – Level 3)
  • Fixed term contract until June 2025
  • 4 days per fortnight
