We are looking for a dynamic and driven Manager to join our leadership team and drive economic growth in the Isaac Region!

The Manager Economy and Prosperity is a key leadership role within the Planning, Environment and Community Services (PECS) Directorate, responsible for driving economic growth and regional development. This role focuses on two main areas: industry, small business, and tourism development initiatives and investment attraction, as well as maximizing the value of Council's commercial and economic stimulus assets, including saleyards, showgrounds, aerodromes, vacant land, tourism, and aged care assets.
  
The Manager Economy and Prosperity will work collaboratively with other PECS Departments to develop and implement initiatives, plans and strategies to capitalise on the Isaac region’s potential. Furthermore, the Manager will champion the interests of industry, small business and tourism operators by building lasting partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The Economy and Prosperity department leads engagement with stakeholders to shape and refine key programs and initiatives, including investment in saleyards and showgrounds, capital investment in tourism assets, the St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend and the renewal of land development, economic, and tourism strategies.
  
To be successful in this role, you will have:        
  • Extensive experience in delivery of economic and business development programs and services, with a minimum of four years’ experience in a similar leadership role;
  • Experience in design and delivery of engagement programs that support industry, business and tourism development;
  • Extensive strategic and operational project management experience across the full lifecycle of projects, preferably in a public sector environment;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cultural and organisational change management;
  • High level of experience and knowledge in use of Microsoft suite, public sector financial and records management programs/systems;
  • Experience in financial management and budgeting processes in a management capacity.
