We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Program Leader – Assets & Investment to join our Water and Waste (W&W) Directorate. This role can be based in any of our beautiful locations: Clermont, Dysart, Glenden, Moranbah, Middlemount, Nebo, or St Lawrence.

 

Reporting to the Manager Business Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting the W&W directorate by managing existing and future assets and making informed decisions regarding future investments and planning. The asset classes include water, wastewater, recycled water, and waste.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Caring Attitude:  A positive work ethic and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Statutory Knowledge:  Understanding of asset reporting, management, and maintenance obligations.
  • Judgement & Problem-Solving:  Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions, whilst using existing policies and procedures, whilst exercising confidentiality and appropriate political astuteness.
  • Technical Skills:  Proficiency in computerised project and asset information management.
  • Financial Acumen:  Knowledge of asset-related finance concepts like depreciation and revaluation.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency:  Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Asset Management Experience:  Practical experience and knowledge of asset management practices, associated applications and terminology.
  • Relevant Qualifications:  Tertiary qualifications relevant to asset management.

 

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary:  $99,922.73 - $114,779.64 per annum (Stream A, Level 6 – 7).
  • Employment type: Permanent Full Time Position
  • Vehicle Use: Limited private use vehicle.
  • Flexible Hours: Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight.
  • Generous Leave:  5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading.
  • RDOs:  In accordance with Council Policy.
  • Superannuation:  Up to 14% in accordance with Council Policy.
