An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Senior Water and Wastewater Operator to join our Water and Waste Directorate in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Treatment Plant Supervisor, the Senior Water and Wastewater Operator position is responsible for the efficient and effective ‘hands-on’ day to day operation of Council’s water and wastewater treatment plants.

Key skills and experience:

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (both water and wastewater disciplines would be advantageous).
  • Construction Card.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation of water and wastewater treatment plants.

Please note that it is a requirement that the successful candidate will be immunised against Hepatitis A and B, and Tetanus.

What we are offering for this position:

  • Salary $72,792.50 per annum, plus allowances (Stream B, Level 9)

  • Nominally 38 hours per week
  • Fortnightly rostered day off (RDO)
