An opportunity exists for a permanent full time Systems Officer to join our Corporate, Governance & Financial Services Directorate based in Moranbah. Reporting to the Systems Coordinator this position is responsible for supporting digital information and communication systems across Isaac Regional Council.
The Systems Officer will proficiently support Corporate Business applications and associated systems to ensure that Council are able to meet its corporate goals and objectives, provide and maintain a high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, positively contribute to the operational success of the Information Solutions department through the provision of backup support to colleagues, active support to senior staff and the achievement of the team objectives, work with end user department to identify opportunities to make better use of their applications and streamline business processes.
For this position we offer:
- Salary $93,628.40 - $105,867.56 per annum (Stream A, Level 5 – Level 6)
- Based in Moranbah
- 5 weeks annual leave pro-rata @ 17.5% loading
- 15 Days’ personal leave per annum
- Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications within IT, Business and/or Accounting or related field and or experience in a similar role.
- Five (5) years relevant experience in in a similar role (highly desirable).
- Demonstrated capability in developing positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Technology One ERP system is an advantage especially systems administration.
- Extensive experience with MS Office tools. Experience with MS Power platform is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to manage customer expectations.
