We have multiple permanent full time Water and Wastewater Operator positions available based in various locations throughout the Isaac Region. Now is the time to join our Water and Waste Directorate! Reporting to the Treatment Plant Supervisor, the Water and Wastewater Operator position is responsible for the efficient and effective ‘hands-on’ day to day operation of Council’s water and wastewater treatment plants.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (both water and wastewater disciplines would be advantageous).
- Construction Card.
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Please note that it is a requirement that the successful candidate will be immunised against Hepatitis A and B, and Tetanus.
If you are successful in this position, we will give you:
- Location Negotiable: Isaac Region wide, Moranbah, St Lawrence, Middlemount
- Salary $73,119.47 per annum, plus allowances
- Subsidised Council housing: $80.00 per week
- Tool of trade use vehicle
- Nominally 38 hours per week
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
