Graduate, student and university placement

A cadet is an individual who is undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate tertiary degree from a recognised university. Cadets are employed on a fixed term full-time basis while studying part-time.

A graduate has completed their undergraduate or postgraduate studies from a recognised university. Graduates are employed on a full-time temporary contract in the relevant department over a two-year program.

Eligibility

All cadets and graduates must be:

  • 15 years and over
  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold a permanent residency visa or temporary residency visa
  • undertaking (cadets) or have completed (graduate) undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a recognised university
