Isaac Regional Council is committed to keeping the community informed in relation to water discolouration in Clermont as new information becomes available.

While the quality of water leaving the plant and being experienced across town continues to meet public health requirements, the precautionary boiled water alert remains in effect.

A water tanker will be available at Hoods Lagoon again tomorrow 30 December 2021 from 9:00am to 5:00pm for residents to fill up their containers with clear drinking and household water.

Bottled drinking water is available from the above location. To ensure equal access to bottled water it should only be used for drinking and not for household purposes e.g. washing clothes, watering plants or showering.

If you are a pensioner or vulnerable person who is unable to access the water tanker, please call Council to discuss alternative arrangements.

We are continuing to provide our test results to Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water and Queensland Health as a precautionary measure.

Our water team continue to do intermittent flushing of the network as required to help clear the network. This may result in low water pressure for some residents.

Residents who are returning from holidays or have not used their water for a long period of time are recommended to turn all the cold water taps on within the house until such time there is clear water running from the taps.  That water may be cloudy due to no usage and so flushing will pull through newer water

Clermont residents who are continuing to experience discolouration in their water are urged to call 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) so our local teams can continue to diagnose any issues in the network. Council is only able to action complaints that have been phoned through.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time.

Acting Chief Executive Officer
