Dysart Library Temporary Location
Isaac Regional Council advises Dysart residents and surrounds that Dysart library branch will be temporarily closed from:
Monday, 13 January 2025 to
Friday, 17 January 2025
This closure is to allow the library to move to its temporary location at the Dysart Civic Centre. Library services and programs will resume from 20 January 2025 from the Green Room at the Dysart Civic Centre.
The new hub will play a vital role in bringing people together for cultural and recreational activities while ensuring access to digital resources and Council services in a safe and secure environment.
Council engaged Hamilton Hayes Henderson Architects who delivered a concept plan involving the repurpose of the existing library building and integrating it with the administration building, leveraging established infrastructure and strong community ties.
The concept plan will be available for public display at the Dysart Library before the move and after the move at the Dysart Civic Centre’s green room.
Council appreciates the community's patience while these works are undertaken. Project updates will be communicated to the public as the upgrading works progress.
This project is being delivered through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI). The LRCI Program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local communities, particularly in regional and remote areas.
