Dysart and Moranbah Sewer Network Relining update
Published on 16 February 2024
Isaac Regional Council wishes to update Dysart and Moranbah residents regarding the sewer network Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) inspection and associated relining works which commenced on 24 November 2023 and will continue through until May 2024, in strategically identified locations.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
- The pre-cleaning and CCTV investigation of sewers have been completed at both Moranbah and Dysart and sewer lines requiring relining have been identified.
- The sewer relining works have commenced in Moranbah Township by the Contractor Relining Solutions Pty Ltd. The Contractor will commence sewer relining at Dysart after completing the works in Moranbah.
- The sewer relining works will occur within the residential and commercial properties and may require access to the properties (outdoors only) in order to access the existing public sewer lines and manhole network. Affected property occupants are being given prior written notifications through letter drop by the Contractor.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
These works will be undertaken:
Until May 2024
7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 7am to 4pm Saturday.
Sunday work will be conducted only in commercial and parkland areas from 8.30am to 4pm, throughout the townships of Dysart and Moranbah.
Weather permitting
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Council will be working closely with our contractors to minimise any impacts of these works on your daily routine.
- The sewer network will be rehabilitated, as identified, by inserting new liners through existing manholes by trenchless methods.
- Excavation or disruption of your sewerage service will not be necessary in the majority of cases.
- During this time, residents may experience a limited increase in noise and vehicle movements.
- The Contractor will ensure appropriate safety, noise and environmental controls are in place and will endeavour to minimise any impact to the local community.
- There should be no disruption to your water and wastewater services.
