Isaac Regional Council is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for an Incorporated Association to lease the old Southern Cross grounds, Pony Club Road, Dysart, for community recreational purposes.

ABOUT THE LOCATION

The land is legally described as Lease A, being part of Lot 10 on SP237952 and is located at 27 Pony Club Road, Dysart. The former Southern Cross facility is located on the land. 

There are three main structures on the land including the bar / clubhouse, music stage and men's and women's amenities block.  Power and water are in place with an assessment being undertaken to identify if any non-compliance issues and gain an understanding of what would be required to meet any appropriate codes and standards.  The findings will be shared upon request and the site and structures will be offered as and where is.

This tenure is being offered as is/where is with the successful respondent being responsible for:

A) Refurbishment to code and/or standards of the facility at their own cost, or

B) Demolition of the structure, and construction of a new facility at their own cost.

The land is owned by Queensland State Government, represented by the Department of Resources; and managed by Isaac Regional Council as Trustee.

The land has been dedicated as a Reserve by the Department of Resources.

The successful respondent will be responsible for the day-to-day running, operation, management and promotion of the facility and associated costs.

IMPORTANT
This facility is being offered for tenure on an as is/where is basis with no guarantee it is fit-for-purpose and no funding for improvements to be provided by Council.
