ISAAC Public Notice - Raw Water Reservoir Upgrade - St Lawrence

Isaac Regional Council advises the St Lawrence community that the $1.7 million St Lawrence Raw Water Pipeline and Raw Water Reservoir Project has been fully commissioned and is now online.
The upgrade will enhance water storage and distribution efficiency, and this includes increasing the raw water storage capacity, upgrading the raw water main and installing new pumping and control systems.
Reservoir works include:
- Installing a new 500,000-litre water tank with a drain valve.
- 75 metres of new pipes including a valve to control the water.
- Adding control valves to manage water flow to the treatment plant.
- 75 metres of fire-safe electric cable from the treatment plant to the new tank.
- Installing a radar sensor in the tank to measure water levels.
- Adding a high-level alarm in the tank for safety.
- New lighting and power outlets installed at the tank site.
Water main works include:
- Installed more than 1.2km of a new water main, including five air valves with ball valves and one flow meter at the pump station.
- A 65m under-bore to install the new water main with a protective sleeve under the farm dam.
