Isaac Events Centre is entering an exciting new chapter, building on over 50 years of history as the heart of the Moranbah Community Centre following a $15.6 million upgrade.

The centre is set to redefine event experiences in the Isaac region, which is home to a powerhouse of industries, boasting a robust mining sector, burgeoning renewable energy projects, and a thriving agricultural landscape.

Originally Moranbah’s first and only place of worship, the venue has evolved into a premier destination for events, from weddings and conferences to trade fairs and community gatherings.

Hundreds are expected to be part of today’s community open day, providing locals with an opportunity to explore the enhanced facilities, celebrate the venue’s rich history, and be part of its future.

Residents can look forward to a venue with a new layout, modern décor that will enhance events and provide world-class education and training opportunities.

The Queensland Government’s Resources Community Infrastructure Fund (RCIF) made an $8 million investment with mining industry stakeholders playing a key role in supporting the project.

Now renamed, the Isaac Events Centre, the Moranbah Community Centre Redevelopment Project is proudly funded by RCIF — a voluntary partnership between the Queensland Government, Participating Mineral Resources Industry Parties, the Queensland Resources Council and its members, in association with Isaac Regional Council.
