Isaac Regional Council would like to remind residents there is two weeks left to take advantage of the rates discount period.

Ratepayers who make prompt payment on or before
Wednesday, 1 November 2023
will receive a 10 per cent discount on general rates.

Some financial institutions take up to three days to process electronic payments. Please check with financial institution to ensure your payment is received by Council in time to secure discount.

Ratepayers who encounter delays with the postal service in their area can register their email address with Council for an additional rates notice to be issued electronically.

Rate payers who register for email notification will receive the rates notices by both email and traditional mail.

If you have not received your rates notice, please contact Council.

From Thursday, 2 November 2023, unpaid rates incur 11.64 per cent interest per annum, compounded daily.

Family budgets are already strained and Council has worked hard to limit the rate increase to 4 per cent for residential households.  Those experiencing financial hardship or circumstances preventing payment on time, please contact Council’s Rating Team for more information on options to apply for a Rates Payment Agreement.

The total average residential rates bill will go up by less than $2.75 a week for most residents.

Ratepayers can register their details for electronic notices by phoning 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) and speaking to Council’s Rating Team, or emailing records@isaac.qld.gov.au between 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
