Middlemount residents are reminded that it is essential to continue to conserve water until the pump failure has been resolved.

It is critical for everyone to follow strict water saving measures to ensure the town water supply is maintained.

Water tankers from Clermont and Dysart have arrived at Middlemount Water Treatment Plant to supplement the water supply.

It is important to note that this top up will not fully meet normal levels of the town’s consumption.

By reducing the water that residents’ use, it will help preserve ongoing supply.

Operators will work overnight to install a temporary pump to re-establish operations at the treatment plant until the permanent pump replacements can be installed on Thursday, 14 December 2023.

Council thanks the community for its patience and understanding while this critical repair work continues.

Council will provide a further update at 9am tomorrow, Wednesday, 13 December 2023.

If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
