Water supply interruption, Middlemount Update #6
Published on 13 December 2023
Isaac Regional Council would like to thank Middlemount residents for their help in minimising town water consumption following yesterday’s pump failure at the local water treatment plant.
The plant has been running continuously for the past nine hours and the reservoir that holds the town’s drinking water is now operating at normal levels.
Tight restrictions on water usage are no longer required however it remains important that residents and businesses continue their efforts to conserve water in line with Council’s general advice.
Visit https://www.isaac.qld.gov.au/Residents/Water-and-Wastewater/Water-Restrictions#section-2 for more information on how to save water and to keep up-to-date with water restrictions.
If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
Council would also like to take this opportunity to thank the local water treatment plant operators and staff that worked throughout the night to remedy the breakdown and maintain Middlemount’s water supply.
