Role Overview: An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Labourer to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Moranbah. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our community spaces, including sportsgrounds, parks, open spaces, and cemeteries. Your work will help ensure these areas are safe, clean, and enjoyable for all residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and gardening tasks such as mowing, whipper snipping, blowing, spraying, irrigation, and graffiti removal.
- Operate and maintain various plant and equipment.
- Use hand and electrical tools, construction tools, chainsaws, and pole saws.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Relevant certification for operating plant and equipment, horticulture, and poison operations.
- Knowledge of basic mechanics and general maintenance.
- Blue/White Construction Card.
- Current ‘C’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence.
- Ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing.
If you are successful, we will provide you:
- Stream B Level Two (2) - Level Three (3)
- $62,559.61 - $63,707.94 per annum plus allowances, including:
- Locality allowance
- Outdoor workwear allowance
- Construction workers allowance
- On Call allowance
- Nominally 76 hours over a 9-day fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave pro-rata @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
