Position Summary:
In this role, you will assist with light fabrication, mechanical duties, and general maintenance within our workshops. Your contributions will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our fleet, supporting the essential services we provide to our communities.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- A White Card - Construction Induction
- A ‘C’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
- The ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing
- Previous trades assistance experience (highly regarded)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, and exposure to chemicals and fumes.
If you are successful, we will provide you:
- $66,300.67 per annum (Stream B, Level 5) plus allowances, including:
- Locality allowance
- Construction workers allowance
- Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- 5 weeks annual leave pro-rata @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

Qualifications:
- Completion of Secondary Schooling; trade qualifications as a Mechanic or Fitter are highly regarded.
- Open QLD “C” class driver’s license.
- Blue/White Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioral testing.
